Two city residents were arrested following a standoff at a home
near downtown Thursday night around 11:30.
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at Tonya Alexander's residence at 217 North Elm Street.
Paul Lindsay (pictured left), 30, 117 West Buckingham Avenue, and Jacqueline Jordan (pictured right), 30, of 612 Florence Avenue, were inside the home.
They refused to comply with officers and open the door.
After police saw movement in the house, they called for the Special Response Team.
A hostage negotiator reached Lindsay by phone Friday morning around 2:20.
Nearly an hour later, he came out and surrendered.
Lindsay was charged with a parole violation.
Jordan was charged with obstructing justice.
Both of them were lodged in the Logan County Jail early Friday.
Police cleared the scene just after four a.m.
The case has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor's Office to consider additional charges.
