The City of Bellefontaine has announced the Leaf Pickup Schedule for this Autumn.
October 29, 30, & 31 – north of Columbus Avenue and east of Main Street (northeast)
November 1, 2, & 5 – south of Columbus Avenue and east of Main Street (southeast)
November 6 & 7 – south of Columbus Avenue and west of Main Street (southeast)
November 8 & 9 – north of Columbus Avenue and west of Main Street (northwest)
After this scheduled is completed, a second round is tentatively scheduled as follows:
November 13, 14, & 15 – the northeast sector
November 16, 19, & 20 – the southeast sector
November 21 & 26 – the southwest sector
November 27 & 28 – the northwest sector
The week of October 22 the Street Department will pick up on an “on call” basis. You can email them at email@example.com or call 937-592-1736.
Leaves need to be piled in the boulevard or as close to the street as possible, but not in the street or on the sidewalk. Please do not park your vehicles in front of piles where the leaf machine cannot get to the leaves.
No other materials such as branches, brush, or trash can be picked up by the leaf machine.
No bags will be accepted.
By law, the refuse collection is not allowed to pick up leaves or any other yard waste.
Per City Ordinance: No person shall deposit, permit, or allow any grass clippings, shrub, or bush trimmings, flowers, or any material on any street or alley which might wash into or clog any storm sewer.
In Russells Point, a leaf dumpster will be placed in front of the Municipal Building at 433 State Route 708 on Monday.
Leaves must be bagged before being placed in the dumpster.
A collection site for brush up to 2” in diameter is available at the rear of the Municipal Building.
This dumpster and collection site is available for residents of the Village of Russells Point.
The City of Urbana Street Department will begin leaf pickup on Monday. Crews will pick up leaves throughout the city until Friday, November 30.
Leaves should be raked to the curb or street edge. Only leaves will be picked up. Please keep leaves free of limbs and trash. Leaves will not be picked up if limbs or trash are present.
Also, please do not park on top of the leaves.
Once leaf pickup is complete, trucks will be outfitted for snow removal operations.
