A rural Rushsylvania teenager that was reported missing by his mother was killed in an apparent hit-skip accident near his residence Thursday afternoon.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Austin Houser (pictured), 15, of 2690 Township Road 40, was found in a ditch along State Route 274 near Rushsylvania Saturday morning around ten o'clock.
Deputies along with Rushcreek EMS responded. Houser was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Logan County Coroner's Office assisted with the investigation.

Ellenna Houser reported her son missing Friday afternoon around 12:40.
Houser told deputies that she had not seen her son since Thursday morning. A Benjamin Logan bus driver reported that Houser had been dropped off at his residence Thursday after school.
Preliminary reports from deputies indicate that Houser was struck by a motor vehicle that fled the scene.
Deputies have recovered a suspect vehicle and are working with the Logan County Prosecutor's Office to file a search warrant in order to process the vehicle. Deputies hope to hear from any motorists that may have witnessed Houser walking along State Route 274 Thursday afternoon.
Deputies continue their investigation.
Houser was a sophomore at Benjamin Logan.
