Inclement weather could not keep a crowd from gathering at a vigil to remember a local teenager who died Thursday.
The vigil was held at Veteran's Park in West Mansfield to remember Austin Houser, 15, of Rushsylvania, who died from a pedestrian/automobile accident along State Route 274.
Patience Gamble organized the vigil. She said that Austin was an amazing person, a loyal friend, and a great guy.
The vigil gave many an opportunity to tell their stories about Austin. Many spoke of him as a great person and a loyal friend who was taken too soon.
A poster (pictured right) was available for people to sign to for Austin.
Both Gamble and Ellenna Houser, Austin's mother, expressed their thanks to the community for their support.
