Area driver injured in deer-related accident

An area driver suffered minor injuries in a deer-related crash north of DeGraff on State Route 235 just north of State Route 47 Wednesday night around 11:50.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Samuel Miller, 33, of Ada, was driving an '88 Chevy 1500 pickup southbound on 235 when he went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

According to Logan County Sheriff's Office dispatcher logs, Miller lost control after he swerved to miss a deer in the roadway.

The pickup was wedged between two trees.

Miller was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Indian Lake EMS.

The pickup suffered heavy damage.

The accident remains under investigation.
