A city man was arrested after he allegedly threatened his estranged girlfriend with a knife outside Moore's Cafe, 111 South Detroit Street, Wednesday night around 9:30.
Robert Orth (pictured), 42, of 547 East Columbus Avenue, Apt. 43, got into a dispute with Stephanie Hartline, 22, of 812 Heritage Court, Apt. 19.
The Bellefontaine Police Department responded and found Orth walking in an alley near Peach Tree Books and Company.
Authorities recovered a knife in his front pocket.
He told police that he confronted Hartline about retrieving his clothes from her apartment.
Hartline told authorities that Orth threatened to kill her.
A female witness supported Hartline's account.
Orth was charged with aggravated menacing and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
On September 14th, Orth was arrested after he allegedly struck and threatened Hartline.
He got into a dispute with Hartline while retrieving some of his clothing at her residence.
The Bellefontaine Police Department witnessed the incident.
Orth entered the residence and slapped Hartline on the back of the head.
He then threatened to cut Hartline from ear-to-ear.
As Orth reached into his pocket, he was taken into custody at gunpoint.
Authorities recovered a small pocket knife in his pocket.
Orth was charged with assault and aggravated menacing, then lodged in the Logan County Jail.
No one was injured in either incident.
