A city teen was arrested after he allegedly choked his grandmother during a domestic dispute at 708 Heritage Drive Friday night around 7:20.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Josiah Haithcock, 14, of 708 Heritage Drive, was grounded because of poor grades.
He became enraged after his grandmother, Marshieliah Johnson, 54, of 108 West High Avenue, would not let him go out.
Haithcock then choked Johnson and said, "I hope you die tonight."
Josiah's mother, Carmelita Haithcock, 39, of 708 Heritage Drive, witnessed the attack and contacted police.
Officers could see visible marks on the grandmother's neck. She was not transported to the hospital.
Josiah was charged with domestic violence and lodged in the Logan County JDC.
