A local woman suffered serious injuries after she was run over by a pickup near Logansville Monday night around 7:20.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a towing-related accident at 1039 County Road 21 (between County Road 24 and Township Road 77).
Deputies report that Diana Smith, 59, of 538 Pimtown Road, West Liberty, was a passenger in a pickup driven by her husband, David Smith, 64.
Their pickup was being towed in a lane by Michael Ferryman, 45, of 500 Pimtown Road, West Liberty.
Mrs. Smith jumped out of the pickup to close a gate. She then slipped and was run over by her husband's pickup.
Riverside EMS transported Smith from the scene to the Bellefontaine Regional Airport. She was then transported by CareFlight to OSU Medical Center.
The DeGraff Fire Department assisted at the scene.
No charges were filed.
