A local religious leader was the featured speaker at the Bellefontaine Kiwanis Club meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Pastor Jeff Willetts (pictured) of the Calvary Baptist Church gave an inspirational and informative Thanksgiving message.
Willetts discussed the pilgrims arriving in 1620, then celebrating Thanksgiving the following year with 91 Indians.
In 1863, President Lincoln signed an order making the fourth Thursday of November a day of Thanksgiving.
