A structure fire destroyed a large barn (pictured) in rural Champaign County Monday afternoon around 12:45.
The West Liberty Fire Department responded to Russ Krabill's 6822 West Kanagy Road farm, which is just south of the West Liberty-Salem campus.
The fire was reported by a passerby on Route 68.
Fire Chief John Esch said no one was injured, including livestock.
Firefighters from Zanesfield, Urbana, and North Lewisburg assisted.
Several tractors were damaged in the blaze.
The fire caused small explosions inside the barn, possibly from gas tanks on the equipment.
The cause remains under investigation.
No damage estimate was available.
Fire crews were on scene until 9:30 Monday night.
The State Fire Marshal's Office is helping with the investigation.
There was a large barn fire at the same farm twenty years ago.
