A local driver was seriously injured when his truck hit a vacant house in rural Champaign County Monday afternoon around 4:15.
The Champaign County Sheriff's Office reports that James Culp, 59, of Cable, was driving a '98 Ford Ranger westbound on State Route 245 when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a house at 6716 State Route 245 (near Cox Road).
Culp was transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center by helicopter.
It is not clear why Culp drove off the road.
No one else was injured.
Deputies continue their investigation.
