Heartland of Bellefontaine held its 11th annual Christmas Tree Auction Tuesday night.
Several items were up for auction, including Christmas trees, wreaths, quilts, and an antique chair.
All items that were auctioned off were donated by businesses and members of the community.
Proceeds from the event go to Toasty Tots, a local organization that helps provide needy children with coats, boots, hats, mittens, and gloves. Proceeds also go to making Christmas brighter for residents at Heartland that do not have families and the Logan County Friendly Senior Center.
Listen to Heartland Admissions and Marketing Director Kandie Horton recap the auction.
Despite hard economic times, members of the Logan County community gave $3,260.
Listen to Stew Jenkins of Zanesfield explain why he supported the annual fundraiser.
The auctioneers not only conducted business at the event but provided entertainment while bidding off the items.
Jackson has conducted the auction free each year.
