The Indian Lake Middle School Student Council held their annual “Stuff the Turkey” food drive earlier this month. The goal was for students to bring in non-perishable food items to be donated to local food banks and families in need.
Student council members (pictured) collected and tallied items in the cafeteria before school each day for one week. This year was incredibly successful with 1,975 items donated. The 5th grade brought in the most items and they were rewarded with an ice cream treat at lunch for their efforts.
