An employee of the Oasis Drive Thru, 406 South Main Street, Bellefontaine, was arrested after he allegedly stole money over the last month.
The Bellefontaine Police Department arrested Jeffrey Martinez (pictured), 27, of 505 East Columbus Avenue, Bellefontaine, Wednesday afternoon around 3:30.
The store's video surveillance helped solve the crime.
Police report that Martinez scanned the merchandise, then deleted the sale and placed the money in a tip jar. He stole between $250 to $400.
Martinez, who admitted to the theft, said he needed the money to pay bills.
He was charged with theft and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
