Two inmates were arrested on felony charges Thursday after an incident at the Logan County Jail last weekend.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Monty Jeanneret
(pictured left), 20, of 533 Fairview Avenue, Russells Point, and Christopher Haynes (pictured right), 19, of 10227 County Road 54, Lewistown, teamed up to throw hot water on fellow inmate JuJuan James, 19, at large, Saturday evening around 9:45.
A corrections officer noticed Jeanneret and Haynes acting suspiciously.
The officer said Jeanneret had something in his hand and both inmates were laughing.
Jeanneret then entered the shower area and threw a cup of hot water on James.
James suffered burns to his chest area. He was treated by the jail medical staff.
Jeanneret admitted to heating the water in the microwave and throwing it on James.
Jeanneret was charged with felonious assault.
He said he threw the water as a joke.
Haynes, who held the shower door open during the incident, was charged with complicity to felonious assault.
All three men remain lodged in the Logan County Jail.
