A rural Zanesfield man was arrested on multiple charges after an alcohol-related crash near his residence Sunday morning around 5:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Theron Scott (pictured), 28, of 709 County Road 5, was driving a 2006 Chrysler southbound on County Road 5 (near County Road 2) when he went off the right side of the road and hit a guardrail and some trees. The car came to rest on an embankment.
Deputies found Scott at his residence.
He denied any knowledge of the crash and couldn't explain a small amount of blood on his hand.
Scott refused to take a breath test. He was charged with OVI, hit-skip, obstructing official business, and failure to control.
Scott was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
The Chrysler suffered moderate damage.
Scott was convicted of OVI in 2006 and 2008.
