A large structure fire destroyed a house in DeGraff near Riverside Schools Tuesday morning around 2:30.
Firefighters from DeGraff and Quincy responded to Curtis Thacker's 311 West Miami Street (State Route 235) residence. The house was fully engulfed in fire.
The blaze was reported by a trucker driving through the village.
All of the occupants safely escaped, including three children.
According to a Logan County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher, the fire destroyed the family’s Christmas presents.
Fire crews were on scene for about two hours.
The cause remains under investigation. Authorities are still compiling a damage estimate.
The Logan County Chapter of the American Red Cross provided emergency assistance to the family.
