The Monroe Township trustees had their last meeting for 2012 Thursday night. A light agenda was handled quickly.
The results of the audit conducted by the state of Ohio auditor’s office for years 2010 and 2011 are now available. The auditor’s office commended fiscal officer Linda Stuart for her accuracy and completeness of the townships records.
The board approved a payment of $1,013.35 assessment for 2013 to the Logan Union Champaign Planning Commission headquartered in East Liberty. The commission provides the township with assistance with zoning issues.
On the lighter side, Norm Standley's recently purchased tombstone was inadvertently installed on trustee Don Bradley's foundation.
The next meeting will be January 14th at 7:00 p.m.
