The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic dispute Saturday around 11 a.m.
Deputies met with Cassie E. Scherer, 29, and Joseph L. Michel, 29, both of 2869 TR 247 DeGraff, after Scherer’s mother, Pamela, reported the incident to the Sheriff’s Office.
Cassie Scherer told deputies that she had argued with Michel over a gift card the two had received. The dispute escalated and Michel threw a small table and punched a hole in the wall.
According to deputies, Michel had blamed Scherer for the damage.
When officers attempted to place Michel under arrest for domestic violence, he resisted. Michel was placed against a deputy's vehicle and began to bang his head on the car, denting the hood.
Michel was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest, and criminal damaging.
