Mary Rutan Hospital’s Birth Center delivered its first birth of the New Year Wednesday evening at 5:38.
Maria Fehr, of Belle Center, gave birth to a son named Alan Thomas.
He weighed seven pounds, one ounce and measured 19 ½ inches.
Kenneth Fehr, also of Belle Center, is the father.
Madriver Family Practice Midwife Lisa Smithers delivered the baby.
The family recieved a gift basket from the hospital with clothing and care items for the newborn.
In addition, the family was given a golden spoon.
