One defendant was sentenced and six pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O'Connor earlier this week.
Jennifer Kindle (pictured), 38, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to ninety days in the Logan County Jail, five years community control, the probation incentive program, and ordered to pay a $500 fine, restitution, and court costs for theft from the elderly.
In November, Kindle pleaded guilty to theft from the elderly.
On June 7th, she was arrested on multiple felony charges after police solved a theft.
Kindle reportedly recovered a fellow customer's wallet at the former Rich Gas Station, 721 North Main Street, on May 3rd and then made $1,200 in unauthorized transactions on the victim's debit card and Social Security benefits card.
Kent Tennant, 68, of Bellefontaine, reported the theft on May 5th.
The gas station's video surveillance showed Kindle picking up the wallet and hiding it in the small of her back under a shirt.
Kindle was taken into custody at her home. She was charged with felony theft and felony identity fraud, then lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Michael Williams (pictured), 35, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to rape.
In August, Williams was indicted for rape (F1), sexual battery (F3), and gross sexual imposition (F4).
On August 3rd, Williams was charged with two counts of rape following a brief investigation by the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Williams allegedly raped two Bellefontaine girls under the age of 15.
One of the victim's relatives reported the incident.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office and Logan County Children's Services assisted with the investigation.
Ceaira Treen (pictured right), 22, of Kenton, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
In June, the Bellefontaine Police Department charged Treen with unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
The alleged victim is a Bellefontaine female under the age of 14.
The girl's mother contacted police on May 15th.
Stephen Coe, 22, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to robbery, possession of drugs, and burglary.
Richard Steiner Jr., 32, of Russells Point, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents.
Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for February 11th.
Charles Louden, 29, of Wapakoneta, pleaded guilty to theft. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing is scheduled for February 19th.
Chasity Defibaugh, 35, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to theft and was placed on the prosecutor's pretrial diversion program.
