A Russells Point police officer was struck by a passing vehicle during a traffic stop on Route 33 Wednesday night around 6:30.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Jerrod Hostetler was struck in the left forearm while approaching a stopped vehicle in the eastbound lane of 33 between State Route 708 and Clermont Avenue.
Hostetler suffered minor injuries. He was treated and released from Mary Rutan Hospital.
Hostetler was struck by an eastbound tan, older model four-door Honda Accord.
The suspect fled the scene southbound on State Route 708.
