Five local residents suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 68 and State Route 508 Wednesday night around 7:15.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Jason Ritzma, 18, of 224 Ellis Street, DeGraff, was driving a 2004 Kia northbound on 68 stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn onto 508 when his vehicle was rear-ended by a '94 Toyota Camry operated by Carolyn Upton, 65, of 608 Saxon Drive, Bellefontaine.
Both drivers were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Three passengers riding in the Kia were injured.
Brande Barger, 39, Haylee Ritzma, 17, and four-month old Jaden Ritzma, all of 224 Ellis Street, DeGraff, were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Each occupant was wearing their seat belt and the baby was properly restrained in a child safety seat.
Upton was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.
The West Liberty Fire Department, Macochee Joint Ambulance District, and Robinaugh EMS assisted.
Upton's vehicle suffered heavy damage while Ritzma's car sustained moderate damage.
