It’s Spelling Bee time again, and the Logan County Educational Service Center will be hosting the Logan County Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 22, at 5:30 at the Indian Lake Middle School.
The local Bee features the first and second place winners from each of the county schools.
Bellefontaine will be represented by first place Kimmie Elliott and second place Alex Taylor.
From Benjamin Logan comes first place Logan Phillips and second place Taylor Keene.
First place Terrin Bok and second place Seth Shields advanced from Indian Lake.
Riverside’s participants will be named on Tuesday after their district spelling bee.
The four first place finishers will also be involved in a semi-final round 50 word online test, with results available on February 6 from spellingbee.com, in which the highest scoring school champions qualifying for the 2013 Scripps Regional Spelling Bee on March 16. The winners of the regional contests advance to the Scripps National Spelling Bee held in Washington, D.C.
