A large structure fire caused extensive damage to a city home Sunday morning around 6:30.
Firefighters from Bellefontaine and Tri-Valley responded to Christopher Horne's 135 North Stanley Street (pictured) residence.
Assistant Chief T.J. Weikart said the fire was reported by a neighbor.
The blaze started on the first floor in the rear of the house.
No one was living in the home, which was undergoing renovations.
Weikart said no one was injured.
The fire caused about $50,000 worth of damage.
Neighboring homes on each side of Horne's residence suffered radiant heat damage.
Fire crews were on scene for about four hours.
The cause remains under investigation.
