A passenger was injured in a two-vehicle accident in the 200 block of West Sandusky Avenue Monday morning around nine o'clock.

The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Crystal Adkins, 52, of 1132 Superior Street, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2010 Dodge Caravan owned by Tri-County CAC.

As Adkins was slowing to make a right turn onto Central Court, the vehicle was rear-ended by a 2006 Dodge Caravan operated by Laura Ham, 35, of 17651 State Route 47 East, Sidney.

The collision pushed the CAC van into a stop sign.

Jessica VomBaur, 28, of 547 East Columbus Avenue, Apt. 12, Bellefontaine, who was riding in the CAC van, suffered minor injuries. She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

Ham was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Her vehicle suffered heavy damage.

The CAC van had moderate damage.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
