Two 17-year-old females are facing felony drug charges after the State Highway Patrol seized 155 Ecstasy pills worth nearly $5,000 during a traffic stop in Allen County Monday night around eleven o'clock.
Troopers stopped a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis with Ohio registration for a turn signal violation on Eureka Street, near McPherson Avenue in Lima. Criminal indicators were observed and an Allen County Sheriff’s Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the Ecstasy pills.
The driver, of Detroit, Michigan, was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, a third-degree felony. The passenger, of Lima, was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, a fifth-degree felony. Both girls were lodged in the Allen County Juvenile Jail.
