A DeGraff man was killed at his 316 North Main Street residence (pictured) while repairing a van inside his garage Sunday afternoon around six o'clock.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Greg Smith, 50, was working underneath the vehicle when the jack failed.
A family member returned home and discovered the accident.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
The DeGraff Fire Department, Riverside EMS, and Logan County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
Pastor Walt Mansfield will officiate a memorial service Friday at 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, where calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
