A local man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on State Route 31 about ten miles north of Marysville Friday morning around 10:45.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Remus Brice Jr., 32, of Anna, was driving a 2003 Ford Expedition southbound on 31 when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and went left of center.
The Expedition collided with a northbound 2012 Freightliner semi operated by Gary Saint-Amand, 34, of Stone Mountain, Georgia.
Brice was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a law student at Ohio Northern University.
Saint-Amand was transported to Union County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
The SUV and the semi suffered heavy damage.
It's the first fatal accident in Union County this year. Troopers continue their investigation.
The Liberty Township (Raymond) Fire Department, Northern Union EMS, and Union County EMA assisted at the scene.
