A portion of Quincy is under a boil advisory.
Residents on East Jefferson Street in the village are under a boil water alert until further notice.
Village Administrator Kirk Helmandollar declared the advisory Tuesday morning.
A broken water line prompted the alert.
Village officials will lift the advisory when test results show that the water is safe for consumption.
