Mad River Mountain and members of its weekly all-female ski & snowboard program "The Snow Angels", present Pretty in Pink, their signature, for-charity event benefiting breast cancer research this Sunday, February 10, 2013.
Pretty in Pink encourages male and female skiers and riders to join us for a fun-filled day of activities including raffles, giveaways, live music, and fun on-mountain events. New this year Mad River Mountain will donate $1 from every lift ticket sold to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Center and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. Guests are encouraged to wear pink to the mountain on Sunday and can also contribute to the cause by purchasing support items such as bandanas and t-shirts, as well as raffle tickets for an end of day raffle. The raffle will feature a wide array of prizes such as a custom Mad River Mountain Snowboard and autographed Ohio State Football memorabilia.
On the mountain there will be two competitions that all can participate in: Leading off the day is a Giant Slalom Fun Race on Regulator at 1pm, followed by an all-ability Rail Jam on the Lower Louie Vito Terrain Park at 2pm. Both events will feature prizes donated by Aspen Ski & Board Company, Smith, Dakine, Neff, Rossignol, Giant Eagle, and Mad River Mountain.
Show your support by participating in one or both activities for only $10. All contestants will receive a goodie bag filled with support items and complimentary raffle tickets.

Starting at 3:00pm inside the Loft Michael Compton will be returning for the fifth consecutive year to provide the soundtrack to this great event. Mr. Compton, a native of Ohio, spends his summer months in Panama City, Florida performing regularly for beach goers.
Pretty in Pink is Mad River Mountain's second charity event of the season. The month of December featured a rail jam to benefit the families of the Sandy Hook, CT tragedy. $1400 was raised that night and has been donated to the Sandy Hook Support Fund offered through the United Way.
