A local driver was killed in a one-vehicle rollover accident on I-270 just south of I-670 near Gahanna Sunday afternoon around three o'clock.
The Franklin County Sheriff's Office reports that Christopher Vance (pictured), 43, of Bellefontaine, was driving a pickup northbound when he drifted into the median and struck a guardrail and a concrete post for an overpass. The collision caused the pickup to overturn several times.
Vance, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. The pickup came to rest on top of him.
Vance was pronounced dead at the scene.
I-270 was closed in both directions for more than two hours.
Deputies continue their investigation.
