Local student charged for taking pocket knife to school

A local female teen was arrested for taking a pocket knife to school Wednesday.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Taylor Hennon, 14, of 8153 County Road 54, Lewistown, took the knife to Indian Lake High School.

Deputies responded after school personnel recovered the pocket knife from a restroom trash can around eleven a.m.

The sheriff's office and school officials spoke with several students concerning the incident.

Deputies spoke with Hennon and her parents at their residence Wednesday afternoon around 3:45.

Hennon was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and aggravated menacing. She was lodged in the Logan County JDC.
