Deputies make two early Sunday morning arrests

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate calls early Sunday morning.

A local man was arrested following a report of an assault outside a bar in Huntsville Sunday morning around 1:10.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports that Tosh Collins, 30, of 6675 Willoby Street, Huntsville, allegedly assaulted Joy Shoemaker, 29, of Russells Point outside Desperado’s Bar at 6857 Lima Street, Huntsville.

Collins had been asked to leave the bar because of his behavior.

Shoemaker reported that Collins had grabbed her around the neck and slammed her head into a concrete block after she had gone outside to smoke.

Collins was later located at his residence.

Deputies report he was heavily intoxicated.

Collins was charged with assault and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to 15584 State Route 720, Lakeview, to assist the Botkins Police Office with a theft investigation Sunday morning around 1:30.

After deputies arrived they were met by Jason Oakley, 33, of 15584 State Route 720, Lakeview.

Oakley reportedly became argumentative and began shouting profanity.

Oakley was arrested after several request to cease.

Deputies reported that Oakley then became combative and resisted arrest.

Oakley was charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
