A city man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop in Bellefontaine Wednesday night around 11:30.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Anthony Garman (pictured), 21, of 214 South Main Street, was driving a '91 Toyota Corolla. He was weaving near the intersection of South Main Street and Water Avenue.
Initially, Garman was charged with OVI. His blood alcohol level was .125.
Moments after the arrest, he slipped out of the handcuffs and fled northbound on foot.
About an hour later, Garman was captured in a driveway in the 100 block of West Auburn Avenue and charged with a felony count of escape.
He was also cited for failure to drive in marked lanes and improper turn.
The Bellefontaine Police Department and Logan County Sheriff's Office assisted troopers during the foot pursuit.
Garman was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
