Two Lakeview men wanted on felony warrants in Logan County
were arrested Wednesday evening following a three-and-a-half hour standoff at a Wapakoneta hotel.
Dustin Krouse (pictured left), 27, of 125 South Main Street, and Zachary Potter (pictured right), 27, of 355 North Oak Street, Apt. A, surrendered Wednesday night around 6:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office contacted the Wapakoneta Police Department Wednesday afternoon and said the men were staying at Western Inn & Suites, 413 Apollo Drive.
Deputies considered Krouse and Potter dangerous after they threatened to resist their capture.
The suspects were in Room 214. A few nearby rooms were evacuated as a precaution.
The Wapakoneta Police Department along with the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office Special Response Team and Hostage Negotiation Team responded to the hotel.
After negotiating on a cell phone, Krouse and Potter peacefully surrendered.
Krouse was arrested on a warrant for burglary and Potter was arrested on a warrant for domestic violence.
Both men were lodged in the Logan County Jail Wednesday night around 8:30.
Wapakoneta Police Chief Russel Hunlock said he will meet with the Auglaize County Prosecutor's Office to consider charges for the standoff.
