Benjamin Logan High School held its 2013 Japanese National Honor Society (JNHS) Induction Ceremony recently.
Jessica Goff, Trenton Myers, Connor Hill, Arie Pequignot, Jared Sater, Cole Weidman, and Emily Weidman were the new inductees.

JNHS President Carrie Leese delivered the opening and eligibility of becoming members.
President of Ohio Association of Teachers of Japanese Dr. Hiro Kawamura, Benjamin Logan graduates Deborah Daniels and Kaylie Trout, and Executive Director of the International Friendship Center Vicci Elder presented speeches about strong business and educational relationships between Ohio and Japan and the importance of continuing learning Japanese language and culture after graduating from high school.
Daniels and Trout are currently enrolled in the Japanese program at the University of Findlay.
Dr. Kawamura also shared a congratulating message from Consul General of Japan in Detroit Kuninori Matsuda.
During the ceremony, Caitlyn Baird, Haley Baker, Isaac Bednarki, Brittany Burton, Ian Fogle, Jenna Hardin, Joshua Hardman, Darien King, Logan McPherson, Krystal Null, Pelger Cole, Kessondra Rose, Jessica Sosby, and Carrie Leese received their certificate of membership after successfully maintaining membership status for one year.
In conclusion, Katlyn Brogan, Josie Coleman, Mary Evans, Victoria Link, Katelyn Newland, Darien Pooler, and Shana Stiles delivered their senior speeches and represented their appreciation to their parents by handing out origami-made carnation bouquets.
