A city man was charged for two alcohol-related crashes near Bellefontaine Monday night.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of County Road 11 and South Troy Road (near Belletech) around 9:50 p.m.
Jose Garcia Jimenez, 24, of 1231 Carlisle Avenue, was driving a '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Troy Road when he rear-ended a 2007 Ford truck driven by Danny Ramirez, 22, of Springfield.
Jimenez fled the scene. About fifteen minutes later, he was involved in a one-vehicle crash in the 2000 block of County Road 18. His Jeep went off the right side of the road and struck a telephone junction box.
Jimenez was charged with OVI, failure to control, no operator's license, and failure to maintain assured clear distance. His blood alcohol level was .191.
There were no injuries in either crash.
Both vehicles suffered minor damage.
