The State Highway Patrol responded to a single engine plane crash south of Dayton Monday night around ten o’clock. Both occupants were injured and the accident knocked out power to more than 1,000 in Miamisburg.
As the small plane approached the I-675 and I-75 interchange, it struck a high power line, crossed the southbound ramp of I-675 and struck an area of dense foliage.
As crews were searching the area for the aircraft, a passenger of the plane flagged down a trooper.
The pilot and passenger were transported to Kettering Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The exact cause of the crash, and the departure and destination of the aircraft remain under investigation.
