Indian Lake announces Seniors of the Month

Indian Lake High School recently named its Seniors of the Month.

Ellen Carreen Schwieterman (pictured left)

Parents Joseph and Evelyn Schwieterman

Address: Huntsville

School activities and awards: cross country, track and field, 4-H, musical, key club, art club, SADD club, science club, Varsity L Club, student council representative, NHS, Honda Achievement Breakfast, Honor Roll, Honda OSU Math Medal, CBC scholar athlete, Honor Society Award for Academic Excellence, Rotary Club Award

If I were principal for a day: I would have school outside playing various activities. Though we are all becoming young adults, we still are kids at heart and enjoy leisure time.

Favorite school memory: I really do not have a favorite school memory. They are all just blurred together.

People who inspire me: My mom and dad have always inspired me. Other people who have been an inspiration to me are my brothers Nick, Neill, and Mitchell, my friends Nichole and Leslie and my non-human friends Elijah and Cyrus.

Lately I've been reading: My poems, information over the BLM management of the mustang roundups for a research paper, and Wuthering Heights.

My advice to parents: You can expect the best out of your child but do not pressure them.  Everyone has limitations so be proud of what your child does when they do the best they can.

My biggest regret: Not being more outgoing.

Next year I will be: Majoring in Equestrian Studies while attending either the University of Findlay or Ohio State ATI.

Tony Carpenter (pictured right)

Parents Pam Carpenter

Address: Huntsville

School activities and awards: soccer, baseball, bowling, Varsity "L" Club, FFA Vice President, first team all CBC bowling and soccer, Honda Achievement Breakfast

If I were principal for a day: I would let everyone have a day off of school.

Favorite school memory: Beating Benjamin Logan all four years in soccer and back-to-back CBC champs in baseball.

People who have been an inspiration to me include: My uncles, my mom, my two brothers Charlie and Christopher have inspired me the most.

Lately I've been reading: Rooftop by Paul Valpni

My Advice to parents: Make sure your kids are doing the right things and being involved in as many activities as possible.

My biggest regret: Not bowling all four years and not being involved in some clubs that I could have been.

Next year I will be: Attending UNOH and studying Marketing.
