A Sidney-based Christian rock band will lead the praise and worship celebration during the 10:35 a.m. Easter Sunday services at Bellefontaine Assembly of God Church, 2833 US Highway 68 South.
More Than A Show (pictured) will lead the music and singing portion of the Easter service. Pastor Scott McGillis said the group is a welcomed addition to the service, which will include his message for the day.
Brothers, Kyle and Ryan Inman, both of Sidney, said they have joined with Thylaar Wolfe, of Dayton, in leading the band. The three were classmates at the Christian Academy School in Sidney for several years and share a sincere love for Christian music.
The brothers began performing as youngsters led by their parents, who were a Southern Gospel group for more than 20 years. Their mother sang and played piano until her death in 1998. Their father, who also played the guitar, banjo, bass, and piano, continues to perform at churches, when not touring.
Kyle has been an on-stage guitarist since age seven and is currently the group’s lead guitarist. Ryan began performing at age 5 and is the band’s drummer. The pair also serves as music and youth leaders at their home church, Calvary United Baptist in Sidney.
Wolfe leads worship at various churches in the Dayton area. After graduating high school, he attended Bluffton University where he began vocals lessons. He was urged to audition for More Than A Show and was soon part of the band as the lead singer. He also plays acoustic guitar.
Kyle Inman said, “We are looking forward to meeting the people at the church in Bellefontaine and come to know the church body.”
The band performs throughout the area and returns to Bellefontaine having appeared at the Logan County Fair and a local coffeehouse. The band’s schedule, music videos, and other information can be found at their website.
