Benjamin Logan Test of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics, and Science (TEAMS) received its Ohio and USA rankings for a February engineering problem-solving competition recently.
The results stem from the multiple-choice portion of testing.
The junior-senior team was 2nd of 31 teams in their state division and was 5th of 103 teams nationally.
The freshman-sophomore team finished 7th of 13 in Ohio and 17th of 32 nationally.
The TEAMS competition helps students discover their potential for engineering. Students work together to problem solve real-world engineering challenges by using science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and 21st century learning skills.
The TEAMS competition is based on an annual theme. The theme for 2013 is “Engineering A Secure Cyberspace.”
TEAMS is coached by Art Stormer.
