Alcohol-related crash temporarily closes Route 68

A local woman was arrested following an alcohol-related crash that closed Route 68 for about 30 minutes Tuesday afternoon around 5:20.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Ramona Booher, 56, of 6188 Township Road 55, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country minivan southbound on 68 near the Habitat Restore when she lost control, then went off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. The vehicle rolled onto the driver's side.

Booher, who was wearing her seat belt, suffered minor injuries. She was not transported.

She was charged with OVI and released to a family member.

Booher's blood alcohol level was .105.

The minivan suffered heavy damage.

The West Liberty Fire Department and Macochee Joint Ambulance District assisted at the scene.
