Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Culinary Arts students were among the crowd that was evacuated during a bomb scare at the Ohio Union on the Ohio State University Campus in Columbus Tuesday evening.
The students were participating in a competition at the Ohio Union.
The Columbus Bomb Squad responded to a suspicious package report around 6 pm and the building was evacuated.
Authorities say the suspicious package was an unattended backpack filled with books.
All of the career center’s students are reported to be okay and no other injuries were reported.
