Youth Leadership honors four adult leaders

Four local residents were honored at the Logan County Youth Leadership graduation Tuesday afternoon at the First Church of God in Bellefontaine.

Each Youth Leadership Impact Team from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, and Riverside selected a person they believe exemplifies an outstanding leader.

This year's recipients are Joe Antram (pictured), Bellefontaine High School; Violetta Brown, Benjamin Logan High School; Pam Elder, Indian Lake High School; and Becky Robison, Riverside High School.

Antram is the longtime band director at BHS, Brown is a guidance counselor at Benjamin Logan, Elder is a Spanish teacher at Indian Lake, and Robison is a volunteer and a member of the athletic boosters at Riverside.

Each high school impact team presented the award to their recipient based on the following criteria:

- Has made a noticeable impact in the lives of kids

- Possesses outstanding leadership skills

- Is committed to leading in a positive direction

- Models leadership ethics and morals

The featured speaker was Tony Green.

Logan County Youth Leadership started in 1996 as an offshoot of the Logan County Area Chamber of Commerce Adult Leadership Program. Over 1,200 students from Logan County schools in grades 7-12 have participated in the program to learn and develop leadership qualities.
