Name: Elysa Easton
School: Indian Lake
Parents: Sally Easton and Patrick Easton
School activities and awards: Choir, Meisters, musical, symphonic band, marching band, jazz band, pep band, National Honor Society, Key Club, SADD, Spanish club, student council, class secretary, honor roll and band president.
If I were principal for a day: I would arrange for some new classes or activities, like a dance team or a class for yoga and meditation. I think that would be pretty cool.
Favorite school memory: My favorite school memory would have to be having the lead in the musical this year. Musical is always such a fun time and I love hanging with the cast. And I can't forget prom! Prom is always fun.
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My dance teacher Mrs. Nancy, my choir and band teachers Mrs King and Mr. Fauley, and my grandma
Lately I’ve been reading: Nothing-. I'm not much of a reader so I usually don't read unless I am assigned to.
My advice to parents: Encourage your children to be involved and let them find what they love. Just because it may be something you don't have an interest in, doesn't mean its not the best thing for your child. Your children can find success and passion in the activities they involve themselves in. Always support them and let them find their passion.
My biggest regret: I don't really have any regrets. Life is too short to have regrets. I've made mistakes, but those are what make me who I am today.
Next year I will be: Attending the Ohio State University with a major in dental hygiene and dance
