Local woman suffers serious injuries in motorcycle accident

A local motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash in western Union County Sunday night around eight o'clock.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Alisa Taylor, 45, of 3425 County Road 9, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2000 Harley-Davidson southbound on Holycross-Epps Road just south of Allen Center Road when she failed to negotiate a curve, then went off the left side of the road and struck the ditch.

Taylor, who was ejected, was transported from the scene by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

Authorities are trying to determine if Taylor was wearing a helmet.

The motorcycle suffered heavy damage.

Allen Township Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.

Troopers continue their investigation.
