Local driver passes away from injuries suffered in Tuesday crash

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Beverly Turner, 49, of Raymond, passed away at 3:17 Wednesday afternoon at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Turner was in a head-on collision accident on Raymond Road north of Barker Road in Union County Tuesday afternoon around 3:15.

Turner was northbound on Raymond Road when she went off the right side of the road and struck a mailbox, then traveled back onto the roadway left of center and into the path of a southbound 2003 Chevrolet 2500 pickup driven by Aaron Hamilton, 38, of Richwood.

Turner and Hamilton were transported to Union Memorial Hospital by Marysville EMS and then transported to OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Turner’s injuries were considered to be life-threatening.

Hamilton’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit is assisting with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
