Local teens injured in county crash

Four local teens were injured in a one-vehicle accident northwest of Bellefontaine on Township Road 56 near Stockyard Road Monday night around 11:15.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Kaleigh Garrison, 19, of 153 Warren Avenue, Russells Point, was driving a '97 Honda CR-V southbound on 56 when she went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole. The vehicle came to rest in a field.

Garrison and passengers Cody Coil, 18, of 325 Belle Meadows Drive, Bellefontaine; Megan Huffman, 18, of 216 West Williams Avenue, Bellefontaine; and Dustin Daniel, 19, of 3633 County Road 55, Bellefontaine, were transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.

An infant passenger, Ivy Garrison, 1, of 153 Warren Avenue, Russells Point, was not injured.

The teens were using their seat belts and the one-year-old was properly restrained in a child safety seat.

Garrison was cited for failure to control.

The SUV suffered heavy damage.
