Missing juvenile report leads to two arrests

A rural Bellefontaine teenage girl and a city man were arrested after authorities responded to a missing juvenile report Wednesday morning around 4:55.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Lisa Mellum, 17, of 1409 County Road 130, went missing overnight.

The girl's parents suspected that their daughter was with Alexander Aburto (pictured), 21, of 220 South Park Street.

The Bellefontaine Police Department went to Aburto's residence. He told officers that Mellum was not at his place.

Moments later, Mellum returned home and admitted to being at Aburto's house.

Mellum said she left her residence early in the morning and Aburto picked her up along County Road 130.

Aburto was charged with contributing to the unruliness of a minor and obstructing official business. He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Mellum was charged with disorderly conduct and lodged in the Logan County JDC.
